ReplyDeleteWOW! A Kmart still in Texas! Crazy.
ReplyDeleteEven though that Kmart has been de-grocerized, it's still a great store and has a great amount of shoppers for it being a regular Kmart store! The Little Caesars Pizza Station is great and I have confirmed that this Kmart has now received new shopping carts and well as new red and white shopping lights for the registers!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe the first Super Kmart ( Medina, Ohio ) will no longer be a Super Kmart...
ReplyDeleteKmarts are spread in FOUR areas in Texas, West Texas (Lubbock,Sweetwater,Abilene,El Paso), East Texas (Lufkin, Nacadoches, Texarkana and Longview), South Texas (Brownsville, McAllen, Laredo) and Central Texas in Killeen! 18 Kmart stores are currently operational in Texas (less than NM) sadly!
ReplyDeleteit's a good supermarket, I think we need more Kmart in this country because is cheapest than the others, specially if we're talking about condoms, sexual toys, pills, drugs and of course: alcohol! I just love this supermarket.
ReplyDeletewhy did Kmart close most TExas stores?
ReplyDeleteI helped open the very first Kmart in the Lubbock, Tx. area in 1970. We had to delay the Grand Opening because of the tornado of May 11, 1970. I enjoyed the people of Lubbock and still have fond memories of that Kmart and the time there. After working all over the U.S. I am retired in Huntsville TX.
